Blacktown is a suburb in the City of Blacktown, in Western Sydney, in NSW. Blacktown is located 34 kilometres west of the CBD and is the administrative centre of the local government area of City of Blacktown. Blacktown is also the largest of any suburb or township in New South Wales. In the 2006 Census, there were 2942 children under 5 and 5402 school age children and 10380 households described as 'families'. Clearly, the availability of childcare is important to the people of Blacktown!
